What was the challenge?

TruSkin is an American success story.

The founders have dedicated themselves to creating innovative products that transform skin with ingredients sourced from the Earth and without using additives or animal testing. A range with a profile that’s guaranteed to get the thumbs up from today’s socially aware consumer.

We started our journey with TruSkin at a pivotal point for the brand. Having achieved a cult-like following with over 50,000 5-star Amazon reviews as a direct-to-consumer brand, it was time to think big. The key challenge was finding a way to repeat the same success at a mass market scale.

What was our thinking?

We partnered with the Goldstein Group – experts in the OTC & wellness space – to conduct a category audit, positioning, and segmentation strategy that would inspire our packaging design.

This gave us the insight to build on the existing brand equity with packaging that elevated the health-enhancing properties of all those natural ingredients that are proven to work wonders.

What did we do?

In short, we went to town.

Nothing was outside our remit. We overhauled the brand’s strategy, design, communications and products. We stopped at nothing as we strived to help launch the brand TruSkin into drug and mass retail.

The answer lay within the products themselves. Elevating the importance of the natural ingredients, we evolved the look and feel of the packaging to reinforce the authentic clean skincare narrative. By simplifying the visual identity and using a different hero colour for each product, we made the shopping experience effortless.

We also developed a fresh strategy for online advertising and social media, creating digital content that celebrated the positive product experiences being shared all over social media.

What did we achieve?

TruSkin suddenly found that the world was their oyster. The client was chuffed with the way our new designs provided a springboard for success at scale.

With our relationship strengthening with every new project undertaken, we look forward to receiving our next brief to promote further growth for the brand.
