Close to the action and the water of Marina Bay, our office is based in the very heart of this culturally diverse and vibrant city-state.

This was an incredible opportunity for us, and one that we’re proud to have achieved at a time when we were all enduring lockdown and couldn’t be together.

As part of the ongoing journey for more sustainable ways to fish, our partners at Nomad needed our help to create a new iconic Captain, a more heroic ambassador to carry their message and stand the test of time. Our first thought – let’s put him back into the icy, stormy ocean where he’s most at home. Then, we can create a fresh, warm, comforting food moment, working with leading photographer and dear friend, David Loftus.

This all unfolded from a simple strategy, bringing to life the story of freshness locked in from sea to serve. But, for it to work in each market across Europe, we had to fully understand their needs, appreciate cultural nuances and ways of serving. We did this by really getting to know, and working closely with, the local teams in the UK, Germany, France, Sweden and Italy. Our ongoing conversations, shared ideas and collaborative spirit were what made this epic journey possible.

Hundreds of new designs have now launched in freezers across these countries.

Each one carries a QR code, allowing shoppers to trace the origins of our fish from on-board the Captain’s ship, and enabling Nomad Foods to showcase their powerful commitment to sustainable practices that help protect the future of fish.
